PJ Hegarty Darkness into Light 2024

This morning, our project staff from city-centre sites participated in our Pieta Darkness into Light walk. They walked through the heart of Dublin City Centre during sunrise to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health awareness. The walk had meaning for everyone who attended as so many people have been affected by suicide. By participating in this event, we hope to help break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage those struggling to seek help and support.

Starting from our Ronan Group Real Estate Waterfront South Central project, the walk journeyed past our ongoing Treasury project and our completed IPUT Real Estate Dublin’s Tropical Fruit Warehouse and Salesforce Tower building. It culminated back at the docks, where they all gathered to witness the sun rise over the river Liffey.

We wish Pieta the best of luck for tomorrow’s event and everyone who will join in walking for this vital cause.

Darkness Into Light is the flagship fundraiser for Pieta and, since 2006, has helped over 60,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm. To donate to this worthy cause, please follow this link: https://www.darknessintolight.ie/donate

Darkness into Light 2024

PJ Hegarty is looking forward to again participating in the Pieta Darkness into Light challenge on the 10th of May, walking from our Treasury to our Waterfront project during sunrise to raise vital awareness for suicide prevention.

Education and awareness about mental health have greatly improved over the past few years within the construction industry, but there are still barriers and stigmas to be broken down. Watch our video to see why our team members believe participating in Darkness into Light and having conversations about mental health are essential.

Darkness Into Light 2023

A team of 25 staff members from across our city-centre sites took on the Pieta Darkness into Light walk this morning, walking through the heart of Dublin City Centre during sunrise to raise awareness for suicide prevention.

Commencing at our Ronan Group Real Estate and Google project sites on Grand Canal Street, the team journeyed past our recently completed IPUT Real Estate Dublin’s Tropical Fruit Warehouse and Salesforce buildings, finishing at our recently commenced project for Citi and Ronan Group Real Estate on the docks of the river Liffey.

By participating in this event, we hope to help break mental health stigma and encourage those struggling to seek help and support. We wish Pieta the best of luck for the event tomorrow morning and everyone who will join in walking for this vital cause.
