Sean Carrigy Retires

26 Jan 2024

After a remarkable 44-year career that helped shape the infrastructure and skyline of Cork and beyond, Operations Director Sean Carrigy, has retired from his role in our Irish business. Sean joined PJ Hegarty in 1979 and leaves a remarkable legacy within our company and across the construction industry. Throughout his career, Sean has worked on many landmark projects spanning infrastructure advancements across Ireland, major pharmaceutical developments, and a portfolio of residential and commercial projects.

We are delighted Sean will continue working with our UK team in 2024 but he will be greatly missed from our Cork office as a leader, colleague, mentor and friend. We extend our gratitude to Sean for his contributions to the company and wish Sean and Niamh well in retirement.
