Our work included the installation of flooring, partitions, and a variety of wall cladding solutions, such as back-painted glass and timber, which added both aesthetic appeal and durability to the space. The ceilings were designed in various styles to suit the diverse areas of the terminal, while glazed screens, balustrades, and wayfinding and information signage enhanced the functionality and flow of the space. Specialist and bespoke joinery were also a key feature, contributing to the terminal’s modern and sleek look.
We took pride in delivering the executive lounge and VIP area, where attention to detail was paramount to create a luxurious and comfortable environment for high-profile passengers. Additionally, the reception spaces, food service areas, and retail zones were fitted out to ensure operational efficiency, while maintaining a consistent standard of high-quality finishes throughout.
Our team managed the installation of state-of-the-art IT and communication systems, ensuring that Terminal 2 remains at the forefront of technological advancements, allowing for smooth operations and enhanced passenger experiences.
The project has been widely recognised and celebrated, winning multiple awards and commendations. Among the accolades were the APM Awards 2011 Overseas Project of the Year Winner and the CMG Building Design Awards 2010 Public Building of the Year Winner. The project was also a finalist in the LEAF Awards 2011 Off-Site Construction Project of the Year and the FX International Interior Design Awards 2011 Public Space categories. Additionally, the project received high commendations at the Best of the Best Awards and won the London Planning Awards 2010 Technical Excellence & Design category.
