Designed for the development of next-generation devices to treat neurovascular disease, the high-spec facility required a 3,600m2 clean room, a plant room, a warehouse with 4no dock levelers, an admin office area, and a plant room.
Construction of the new manufacturing building used reinforced concrete foundations and a structural steel frame, with both precast and in-situ composite metal deck and concrete suspended floor slabs. The quality of finish for the concrete flooring in both warehouse and cleanroom facilities was paramount to the client.
We implemented our signature quality control procedures including bespoke inspections and testing sign-offs, as with all of our projects. The building façade is wrapped in insulated architectural cladding panels, curtain wall glazing and architectural brickwork, with a metal roof deck and Trocal roofing membrane.
Additional works carried out included a car park with 540 parking spaces plus associated landscaping and groundworks, PJ Hegarty completed a full installation of extensive mechanical and electrical services including cooling systems, and we coordinated the complete architectural fit-out of the warehouses, clean room, offices, electrical switchrooms, sprinkler tank and pump house.
