PJ Hegarty Darkness into Light 2024

This morning, our project staff from city-centre sites participated in our Pieta Darkness into Light walk. They walked through the heart of Dublin City Centre during sunrise to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health awareness. The walk had meaning for everyone who attended as so many people have been affected by suicide. By participating in this event, we hope to help break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage those struggling to seek help and support.

Starting from our Ronan Group Real Estate Waterfront South Central project, the walk journeyed past our ongoing Treasury project and our completed IPUT Real Estate Dublin’s Tropical Fruit Warehouse and Salesforce Tower building. It culminated back at the docks, where they all gathered to witness the sun rise over the river Liffey.

We wish Pieta the best of luck for tomorrow’s event and everyone who will join in walking for this vital cause.

Darkness Into Light is the flagship fundraiser for Pieta and, since 2006, has helped over 60,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm. To donate to this worthy cause, please follow this link: https://www.darknessintolight.ie/donate
